Introduction
After the installation of a Single Ply membrane, roof systems can be finished with either a ballast or green roof covering.

Our Single Ply membranes offer an ease of detailing which allows the roof system to seamlessly disappear underneath the overlaying feature without distracting attention away from the key aesthetics of the building.

We are able to detail around penetrations and services and also around our Mansafe systems which can also be easily installed on these roof systems.

It is due to these features and more that Ballasted and Green roof finishes are more commonly found within a Single Ply Roof package.

Ballasted Systems
Usually in the form of pre-cast concrete paving slabs or round-washed stones these systems can be an alternative method to create defined walkways. More commonly, these systems are utilised to create balconies or courtyard roofs, as shown in the photographs on this page.

Green Roof Systems
The most commonly installed Green Roof system is that of a sedum roof, which in addition to the making an attractive feature, provides a bio-diverse area which removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
